The Girls' First Yankee Game!

We went to the first of 2 games that the girls will be going to this year. The Yankees went for a sweep of the Padres (and a 7 game winning streak!) with their new phenom Joba Chamberlain on the mound. He gave up just 4 hits and 1 run in the Yankees 2-1 victory. It wasn't the most EXCITING game of the year but the girls had a great time at their first game. I was mostly excited that Farnsworth didn't give up a run in his 1 inning of work. We couldn't have had better weather... we sat in the shade and the breeze was very refreshing.

For the girls, the day was about how much junk food they could eat in 9 innings while chanting "De-rek Je-ter". They had cotton candy (Catrina's favorite), dippin' dots, and popcorn. We also got to make about 5 trips to the bathroom which is always fun. Special thanks to Marnie and Caitlin for stepping in and helping out with that.

"De-rek Je-ter"

The best ever:

How fun! Looks like it was a ball. Neil still owes me a Mets game ... for such a big fan, he never did get on getting those tix like he said he would. Ahhh, to be a man and wait for things to happen :-)

So yesterday I saw a Canes player (Rod Brind'amour) at Target! That's my claim to fame today!

Have a good weekend.
